Tournament Format

Always a scramble format, with four-person teams except when participation numbers require three person teams.

Each team will be made up of A, B, C and D players, based on handicap.  When participation numbers require, three person teams will be developed using whatever combination is available to ensure a balanced competitive field.

Team handicap is determined by counting 20% of the A player, 15% of the B player, 10% of the C player and 5% of the D players handicap.

Four-person teams are required to use three drives per person in 18 holes.  Three-person teams are required to use four drives per person in 18 holes.

On a four-person team, the player whose drive is used cannot hit the next shot. After the second shot, all players hit until the ball is in the hole.  However, on par-threes, all players are allowed to putt if the drive is on the green.

On a three-person team, all players are allowed to hit every shot. These teams are allowed one extra putt per hole and (if they purchased them) they will be granted one extra mulligan per nine.

Two individual  mulligans per player costs $2 for the 18 holes and can be used anywhere on the course.  One is to be used on holes 1-9.  The second on holes 10-18.  You may NOT carry over an unused mulligan from one 9 to the other.  If a player chooses to use their mulligan, their original shot is out of play.

Scorecards should be completed (please do the math) immediately upon finishing play.  Please do not wait until you have unloaded your clubs, changed your shoes and eaten lunch :)  Be sure to mark your birdies and holeouts on your additional scorecard.

The ball may be placed within one club length of the original shot - no closer to the hole and must remain in the same cut.  On the greens, the ball may be placed within one putter's width of the original lie.

Prize money or Pro Shop Credit is paid out according to the number of players, less total costs incurred.

C and D players, age 75 and up, can tee off from a marked spot 25 yards in front of the regular women's tee box.  However there are NO forward tee boxes on the par 3's.
